What does "B/G mix" stand for?

I'm using WEP encrytion for the wireless connection and set an over 10 digits Key to strengthen the security. Is it safe for me to use the wireless connection to access my stock online trading account and bank account?

It's mentioned that 802.11I is more secuer. Is it possible for my to upgrade my 802.11B to 802.11I ?
