Yes, we do have a

wireless router and I have obtained the ssid and wep security key for the router. From the away PC, I could see the wireless signal.

Using the utility of the wireless adaptor, we could lock the channel, ssid and wep key. However, we just could not get the internet on the away desktop. The india tech support is very hard to understand and offer little help.
