I have never used DVD Cloner. It shouldn't reduce image quality
at all. Anyway, I'm using DVDShink which can get rid of unnecessary
stuff (like menu, extras, etc). Here is the link:

There are two version of DVD recordable formats: DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW.
Your DVD player need to be able to play one of the formats or both.
If your DVD doesn't say anything about it then chances are it may not
be able to player either of them. In the case, you need to new DVD
player.
