you should check it with your school IT dept or its website that usually gives instruction for installation and use. you need 3 items to login: correct host name or ip address (something like aaa.bbb.edu or 200.68.2.240), user id, password. the port should be 22. SSH is open source. if the one from your school doesn't work you can down one from SSH website. the interface may be different but login method should be same. SSH can be customized and use different login method, but for schools it should be simple.
