well, a low download speed may not be your connection's fault. It may just be that it is very slow for the information to travel over here to US. Hey, that's like half across the world.

well, if you want to set up a ftp, I need to know what operating system you have. XP? XP Pro, 2000Pro?

XP pro and 2000 has built in IIS, so you can run their FTP server.

Else you can download free FTP server online. Plus you have to open a hole on your router. Port forwarding...anyway, it's not all that easy...
