160G的硬盤變成了130G，為什麽？

偶昨天才買的新機器，主板是Asus,硬盤是 麥拓的160G,在BIOS裏麵顯示為160G,我拿WINXP從光盤啟動，分區，可是隻識別出130個G的內容，這是咋回事呀？有無人能否告訴俺？
