I have a Belkin "Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router" (P/N F5D6231-4), and it is proving to be unreliable. I'm trying to use it in a fairly complex environment with MacOS X, Windows XP Pro, and Debian Linux. I have both a Earthlink DSL connection through my Linux server AND a Comcast cable modem routed through the Belkin unit.
The router now constantly locks up and stops responding to the web-based interface. MTBF (mean time between failures) is approx. 12 hours.
This is what I get for buying a cheap router with a big rebate, stacked up next to the door at Micro Center.
I've ordered a 3Com 802.11g wireless router for $100, and it should be here very soon. Then it's bye-bye Belkin...
