(1)不要"並聯"你的電話線，因為DSL用的是單線雙頻傳導迅號
建議你"串聯"你的電話線，將電話線先接到你的DSL modem 再接到你的電話(or FAX),最後再接到你室友的modem (I assume yorr friend is not using DSL line ....)
(2)If your frined is using DSL line, you need to get a router but the problem is you need to ask your DSL provider to switch your DSL setting from USB port to regular network port, so you can use a CAT5 cable from your DSL modem to the router, from your router connect to your computer. of course you need to install a network card in your computer, (your roomate needs to do the same thing).
(3) The last way is to get a wireless access point, connect your DSL modem to access point. et both your computer and your room mate computer using wireless network. (It might be a littke bit expensive since both of you need to purchase a wireless card. But you do not have to set up a long cable from your room to your room mate room.
