cable companies are not the same but very close to regulated market like utilities. you don't have many choices for any given area.

in the early days, some cell companies offered unlimited data plans. if you have one, you may use that as a hot spot for your daily internet usage and cancel the cable internet. i am using verizon unlimited, and very happy with the data speed, typically above 10mbps.

also look at other wireless internect offers from small companies in your area. good luck.
