有親戚從中國來，見本壇有人談論Lycamobile（忘了第一個是誰了），費用低廉，就也去弄來試試.

step 1: order free SIM card (the standard-sized SIM card has pre-cut lines and can be bent into a micro sized SIM card)
step 2: insert SIM card into an unlocked GSM phone (retired T-mobile phone, for example)
step 3: register the card and obtain a phone number. Your login is your 11 digit US Lycamobile phone number. Beware the login starts with 0 instead of 1 (e.g, (514) 678-9012 => 05146789012).
step 4: top-up the account. It is interesting that you can add ANY amount you would like by selecting "other" amount (I did $2).
step 5 (optional): you may want to set auto recharge (when the balance dip bellow X, recharge Y)
And you are ready to go!
我用的是Pay As You Go所以隻說Pay As You Go rate
優點: SIM卡免費，最低充值任選（不喜歡權當今天沒寫網評，丟了5毛），能自動充值，接收通話每份鍾2美分，撥打美國通話每份鍾2美分，接收短信免費，發美國短信每個4美分分，撥打加拿大、中國通話每份鍾3美分
缺點：別人在你語音信箱留言要算分鍾（聽留言不算分鍾），接收短信時Caller-ID不對，據說800電話打不通【但我試了18884242424，能打通】。數據好像不便宜。
Lycamobile據說用T-Mobile網，也有數據（Pay As You Go 6c/MB）。我給親戚用的是老舊T-mobile手機，不能上網，所以沒測數據使用情況。
結論：親戚朋友短期訪美給置個Lycamobile手機非常廉價，有舊手機的話$0.50（其實無最低限製）就能啟用，分鍾費用可能也是最低的之一。能自動充值。充值不過期（但120天不用就作廢--隻要用一次又能維持120天）。
當然蹭Verizon網的能更便宜，但技術要求太高，一般人還是不會。
