怎樣use MSN messager6 聊天voice

I have been use MSN messager to chat(write words) with frindes at China. It's that possible to chat via real voice? I shaw it has add audio, but it never works for me. What should I buy? I have a small microphone for computer. Anything else?
Anybosy can help me?
