Wireless printer is a better option

You can hide the printer anywhere you want as long as there is a power outlet nearby. A router with a printer port is the next option but the printer has to stay with your router.

Unless you need to do a lot of color printing, a wirelss B/W laser printer can be obtained at as low as $50 or less and the cost is 1-2 cents per page while color printer is as inexpensive but can easily cost 10 cents per page.
