Just remember that your Browser can only has two language HTML and JavaScript to run under the browser.
Java has enabled the Java Applet to run under browser, which is the newest security flaw for now. if you have Java JRE 1.0.6_37 or the newest Java 7 update 11, you are save now.
If you really want to be more safe, then just unable Java under the browser, not the JavaScript!!!!
