現身說法,windows 7 on AMD raid, pain in the a**

windows 7 has no built in driver for AMD raid controller. (looks like the only built in raid driver is for intel).

So booted 7 installation disk first, and then prompted to insert driver disk; inserted the driver disk from motherboard manfucture and it's apparently not recognized (ie, no disk/driver found).

So now trying to build a customized winodws 7 image (imagex, dsim) with the raid controller; then it failed somewhere else...what a mess

 

I thought to save $200 or on AMD but in the end spending so much time on it...

not really worth it (don't want to return it either).
