I spent quite amount of time to take look at all tablets and played around with them in Fry's this weekend.
There are many different models/brands, from Acer, Asus, Samaung to Coby and some other unknown name(I forgot).
Overall, I just feel 10"(some even have 12" size) tablets are too big and heavy to carry around. The way of use tablets should be one hand to hold it and another hand to use it when you sit on sofa or bed. For a 10" tablet, I have to have 姚明 size hands to hold it using one hand without feeling tired. Otherwise, I have to put it on my lap or somewhere(such as table) to use it comfortably. If a tablet requires you put it on your laps or a table. I would rather to carry a slim version notebook/netbook.
I guess Apple is the only company realize the usability issue from the experience of iPad 1. That's why Apple reduced size and weight quite significantly besides the performance improvement for iPad2.
Only the slim version 7", especially Samsung Galaxy is fine to hold with one hand comfortably. Many people just played around them and walked away(like me). Overall I just feel those 10" tablets are hyped too much by manufacturers and chip companies. It will be over supplied soon. we will see big clearance someday, especially those ARM based because they can not be used to do more serious tasks for the size(10" or above) they have.
