i used to pay cox for 44/m (they keep raise price). i dropped it for att's 19.95/mo. unless you download large files, for regular surfing i don't see speed difference between the two.
(note, att has two different wires - uverse which is using optical fiber is much faster than copper on traditional wires although both are 19.95/mo. check att if uverse lines are available in your area).
