Very unlikely. Your fibre max out at 20Mbps, Wifi is 5X

Maybe your wifi is old .b at 11Mbps, then you should change your router and machine card. The .g .a .n can reach from 54Mbps to 108Mbps, far exceeding your fibre speed.

You can't feel the differences if you are only surfing! It must be something else.
