It depending on what are you gonna use the ata for. 1001 is a simple ata with only one rj45 and one rj11 port. You can register two voip services on it. Both services go to that one rj11 port.
2102 has a router built-in and it has two rj45 ports, one for internet connection and one for ethernet. You can connect the ata directly to your cable or dsl modem and connect your computer to the other rj45 port to share the internet connection with the ata adapter. If I remembered correctly, this ata has two rj11 ports for connecting two phones.
3102 also has a built-in router and it has two rj11 ports, one for connecting to a phone and one for connectin your pstn line. This ata also has the function of bridging your pstn to voip. If you need this bridge, 3102 is what you need. Otherwise, 1001 or 2102 would be good enough for you.
