several ways to do this

to have good audio, you really need a SPDIF output and hook it to a receiver.

1. Many laptop support SPDIF, but there's no physical port on the laptop itself. The port usually comes with a docking station (port replicator) from the manufacture of the laptop. So you can buy a suitable docking station with SPDIF output.

2. buy a universal docking station/or external sound processor that has built-in SPDIF outputs. you can search these type of products on amazon. these may be cheaper than the 1st option, depending on your laptop.
