att provede dsl and dsl speed depends on the distance between your location and the central office. 6mb is not the problem. the problem is the gateway to china's network. I personally use comcast and the speed is much faster than att's dsl. To most of people, it does not mean much difference. To me, att blocks some ports by default which means that I would have to call them to open them. Comcast does not block any ports by dufalt.
