where to find a XP SP3

If you don't have the XP SP3, then you need to find out the "hard disk driver" for your motherboard. Copy that on to a floppy, or CD-R. When install, install that SATA driver first so you HDD can find that HDD.

What is your machine model, and what is the motherboard model?

Sure, if you have SP3 and can install SATA driver, you will be OK.
