Not the same category at all, the ASUS is alot better. Inspiron is the very entry class for Dell, and that particular 14 has only integrated video, has no HDMI, and has 100 ethernet rather than 1gt, just to mentioning the few lackies. It is a no-brainer to take the ASUS. Also, the ASUS's warranty first year is accidental, which means that warranty even covers if you would drop the computer and damaged it (that's my reading, but please look into it yourself).
