Win7 is easier (or no more difficult) than XP

I've got an upgrade version, but somehow it allows for fresh install. BTW, where do you get the Win7 disc? You are buying a desktop, should come with a system. Upgrade version of Win7 should work just fine.

The difficulty Staples said maybe that some "upgrade" to preserve personal settings requires long time. For a fresh desktop system, no need for long time.

BTW, what is the default system on your new desktop? It should not be Vista, then what? Actually Vista is OK, not that bad once you got used to.
