1. Click Start and Run in your PC. Type CMD and press Enter. In Windows 7, click Start and type CMD in the ‘Search programs and files’ box and press Enter to run CMD.
2. Type ipconfig /all and press Enter in the CMD console windows to display IP configure settings.
3. Write down IPs of subnet mask, default gateway, DNS Servers and alternate DNS server. You can simply do a mark/copy to record these IP addresses for next step. Or just leave the console window open.
4. Select Start, Control Panel and Local Network Connection. Right-click on LAN connection and select property to display Local Area Connection Properties Windows.
5. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties
6. In the general tab, chek Use the following IP address and enter the 192.168.0.10 as IP address as well as subnet mask, default gateway, preferred DNS server and alternate DNS server (if any)
7. Click on OK, close, close and re-start your PC
(You can use IPCONFIG /ALL in the steps above to make sure you have the static LAN IP – 192.168.0.10 after your PC restarts.)
