請教一個home network set up的基本問題，請大家幫忙，謝謝

我有以下硬件，
1。 2個新的desktop（onw with Vista, one with window7),隻有USB接口
2。一個舊的打印機，隻有parallel接口
3。 wired router, 有四個接口
我想把他們在router裏麵聯成一個home network(2 desktops and the printer),
同時讓router把外麵可能的attack擋住（我猜想應該是通過router的password)

那位可以教教我怎麽連接嗎？或者哪裏有網站可以告訴我怎麽做？
