Well, I started my tmobile web connection plan with a new u***** modem (huawei brand) and new 2 year contract yesterday. Here are what I tried,
1. Right after I left the tmobile store, I put the sim card in a mytouch 3G. Everything worked! I downloaded google map navigation and droid voip from android markets. google map navigation guided me home (although it told me to make wrong turn and thought I live on a corn field). I even tried make some voip calls after I was home.
2. I put the sim into the u***** modem, and connected to my computer. Everything worked as they should. Connected at 3G speed because I happen to have the coverage.
3. I pull the sim card out of the u***** modem and put it back to mytouch. Google to news, and it took me to a tmobile page and said it was searching for a plan that fitted me, then said there was no plan for me. After that I could not use the internet on the mytouch, not even android markets. Whereever I go, it took me to tmobile page and no go from there.
4. the sim on u***** modem works so far.
Thanks for reading for these, I appreciate your patience. Here is my question,
is that T-Mobile detected and locked me out of my phone? Or the u***** modem locked the sim? I tried with an iPhone but no internet either.
Anybody has same or similar experience?
