It seems I also has same issue with my SPA1001, I got it from ebay and received it from HongKong. it works few minutes and had issue like you described, but it got back to work again, and die eventually next day.

I sent it back to Beijing, and the seller sent me a replacement. I paid US$11 for shipping.

Please try to contact seller for try!
