P4 is a power house. I do not mean it runs fast. It consumes much more energy. CPU in netbook is opposite. Strutually, it is totally different from P4. The battery time in netbook generally runs at least 6 hours. A laptop with P4 barely reaches 2 hours. If running fast is your primary concern, add more ram to you P4 will be the least expensive way to upgrade. XP will fly on 1 G RAM.
