Pleae help . I lost all my files on harddrive.

this morning , I found I can's get in Windows ( now I have no time to decribe the situation ) . then I used the system recovery disc. I picked up the " standard system recovery '" which should
not format my driver. but when I click OK, I found the sustem start to format
my drive!!! I turn off my computer as soon as I can . but it was too late.
the drive already was formated.
Now . I have a lot of work to do but first I like to know if you have any way
can help me to recovery my hard disc? I have a lot of family pictures and important file there.
