How to close a Hotmail ( Window live) e-mail account?

I created a account but never used it. but I still need to keep some it's
information , so now I decide to close it , but I can't find the correct path how can i do and the "help" doesn't tell me this , maybe it just don't want people close any account. Please tell me how can I do.
