XP has Windows Firewall. It is enough but

there are better ones with free edition for personal use. You can google to find them. Try Comodo or ZoneAlarm to see what others say and see if you like them. Normally you need only 1 firewall running in your PC.
The Anti-Virus software usually comes with PC when you purchase new, typically say within a year of use. Afterwords you need pay to continue using the software. At that point, you can find free ones like Avira or AVG or others.
Also you need scanners to remove adware and spyware. Try Spybot, Ad-Aware, Superantispyware.
