Operate PC as an administor; "NTLDR" may show as"ntldr"
1. take the hard driver out and put into an enclosure to make it as an USB external driver.
2. connect this external driver to a PC, format it as 'N' style. it is better to format it into two or more regions. e.g. C, D and/or E.
3.Copy "NTLDR"and paste to your new C region in the external hard driver.
step: find the "NTLDR" from the backup files of your down(Broken) PC, if you have backuped the files from C driver of your broken PC before.To see "NTLDR", see step 3b. if you had not had this backup, try to use the "NTLDR" from your current PC and read step 3a and 3b.
3a. find the "NTLDR" from C driver of your current PC, copy and paste to your new C region in the external hard driver.
3b. if you can not see "NTLDR" from C driver of your current PC; open the C driver by double click it, in the tool bar (top bar of the window), left-click-[Tools]-[folder-options]-(in the popup window)-left click[View] then in the popup window
select
[hidden files and folders]-(@)[Shown hidden files and folders]; @ is a green spot.
uncheck (make the stick [v] disappear in [ ] on left of
[ ]hide extentions for known file types
[ ] hide protected operating system files files.
5. put back the Hard driver form the enclosure into your down (broken) PC; install Win XP into C region as normal.
5a. in bio, select start from CD-Rom.
