best ftp download

i am new hand in downloaing. i amusing flashget, and netant, but i found some good stuff on ftp site, and flg and ants do not work in this case, what is/ are the best ftp sownload software? (since i amnew, i found a lot of stuff from google, other than more of confusion, no quick and dirty solutions) thanks. any advice are welcome
