question on windows xp and chinese input software

i'm using nj star 2005, and i'd also tried han wang jian chinese input software, but both of them didn't seem to work with windows xp, everytime after i'd posted something written in chinese, and continue to a different page, this new page opens in a new browser window instead of the original window, and if i go on to another page, the page is again display in a new browser window, and so on, and guess what happens next? when i click on an icon on my desktop, all the icons on the desktop end up highlighted, i have to shut down my computer then restart, but if i want to post something in chinese, the problem appears again, anyone has encountered this kind of problem before?
