you need the firmware from the package: bcm43xx-fwcutter
bcm43xx is a driver for Broadcom's wireless chipsets (http://bcm43xx.berlios.de/) included in kernels since 2.6.17-rc2, "modprobe bcm43xx" in Etch. Firmware required to be loaded before operation, ask me about. Replaced with in kernels 2.6.24 and later. USB devices are not supported.
