It's looks like you hard drive dead,but has to make sure,and also do not,say again do not throw away your hard driver,never ever.i still remenber there were story about few students spend like $1000 got lots of dead hard driver and using some software try to recover the data,and they find out at least 1000 individual credit card and banking informations,so what you think?
try to use a brand new hard drive to reinstall your system,and pug in your old drive as slave,but you have to make sure the jumper settings,different vendor gives different jumper setting on the hard drive,luckly,youcan check the setting rules on the hard drive lable.then plug in the drive boot the system try to find all the partitions,if you still can not,you have two options:1,find some prefessional data recovery ,but that will cost loooooooooots of money.2,if you have friend who really are computer geek,and he/she can recovery the data for you for free.
