MSN Messenger does not work

Hi all, please give me a hand why my messenger does not work. I can't open it after i double click the icon. It was installed in Jan 07.

I also can't delete it. A message says to make sure the disk is not full or write protected and the file is not currently in use.

I also can't turn off my computer since it is always trying to end the msnmessenger the program. It always says the program is not responding.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks all.
