modem 可能有 MAC # as ID bing detected

so probably could be rejected if detected it is not authorized (not the ISP customer).

e.g. I have two modems from cox. but only one can connect to the internet, switch another one, it doesn't work.

I am not a network admin, the thought is just from the experience.
