I got an idea, not confirmed, try it on your own and on your own risk.

1) Change Register to stop update access time, reboot.
Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Key: SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem
Name: NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1

2) Connect that HD to your XP and right click the folder/file to check "accessed" timestamp.
