I see you installed, crashed and reinstalled, ... just like to remind you, stop doing so, make the copy first, then try again.
When you are ready to install win 2000 again, do this:
1. In the installation procedure, you will be asked to create a parition if none is found, create or use the partition that is less than 137.5 GB, don't do the rest.
2. after the system is ready, manually modify the value from regedit and make the win 2000 to support the big one, then using the disk manager of the system, create the parition of the rest of the disk.
I'll check my notes, and give you info how to modify the value I mentioned above.
