ATT DSL got dropped every hour

got SBC DSL a couples of month ago, it works fine until this month the connection got drop every hour, call their support, it seems that no help at all. scan computer, find temp.exe virus, removed. latest spyware software search the computer, did not find any thing. even change a new ethernet card, disable window firewall, remove virus scan software. use software bitlord/emule to download movies.
no router is used, DSL is connected to computer directly, WIN XP with SP2,P4,512 MB. SBC tech check the actual phone line is good, no problem found.

anybody have similar situation? any suggestion
