how to install window xp on a new apple laptop? thx

Want to install window xp on a new apple laptop. After set up second petition, during the installing, the window seems dead, the mouse cannot move. So we restart it. and then we cannot connect to network. Also we cannot see the MyComputer icon. We only can see trash can icon. Please help. Thanks.
