1. Your laptop sucks the network down. Either you use static ip or your dhcp server think somebody has same facked mac address as you do.
2. Your dhcp server suck you up. Sometimes, dhcp server is renewing IP leasing database, so it is possible to mess up your IP with others in short time. Or there is a spoofing test server that produce lot of IP address just for network security testing.
