it is resore cd? Like ghost? Why do you need windows to restore

You should be able to just insert cdrom and run the restore process.

Then use a ghost to restore.you can grap the image from the cd. Try to find the password fot the image .

I think dell also provide a install version cd of XP(if he choosed this one)
