Pls Help!!

When I boot my machine today, I got the following error message:

Windows XP could not start because the
following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
\CONFIG\SYSTEM

When I tried entering Recovery Console, I don't know what to do next. Any one please help me out with that problem?
