非得NT 4.0 server. I don't know whether it is

ok or not to install other o.s such as windows 2000. I want to at least keep all my files so I can transfer them to the new computer. I can not even see the windows now. I stuck at o.s. loading ... and it says it needs repair.

I don't have the boot disk any more.
