My Sony TG-50 is dead

I have a Sony TG-50 PDA(palm-based). A week ago I was downloading a program onto it, I did a soft reset according to the instruction, and my PDA just went nuts--something is showing up. I tried to do a hard reset and I was offered to option to erase all data. But when I tried to do so, it doesn't follow my command. I am at the end of my wits. Please help.
