Let me reword what I was trying to say. U R welcome to correct my English, or rewrite it if U think it is not clear for the purpose of communication. Thanks in advance.

The price for laptops is really good now.

The laptop I have ordered from dell company by phone sounds like a good deal.

I think the laptop I ordered is the model 2400 with a 40 GB hard drive and with a P4 processor (2.53 GB). The price for that model is only $ 499. For upgrade of ram (from 128 MB ram to 256 MB), I paid another 70 bucks or so. Plus $130 some bucks for a 4 yr warranty and 20 bucks for a cable, the bottom line is $ 670 + after mailed in rebate.

I will get free printer with copy function, a Kodaka digital camera and free AOL for 6 month.

The local stores also sell the laptops with very good price, less than 600 dollars for one. Usually one of these laptops were sold sell over 1000 bucks.

I think it may be a good time to buy laptops.
