I see the property of the sql server, it show me pathed SP3, but my boss said we nerver applied service pack 3.
I did a lot search on google and microsoft, some people said, sql server dynamic memory configuration work just like that way, it never release it until OS or other process request it.
some people said , there could be a memory leak.
I used to have a teacher when I was a student, he said that sql server must be reboot every 45 days.
And I read book "sql server 2000 for experienced DBA" author is Brian Knight,he said if 2G memory for didecated sql server for any production database, sql server procesee could use up to 1.7 GB, which is ok.
It is too much information in my mind now, I just want to get organized.
