前不久跟幾個 hiking 的朋友到 Yosemite Day Hike，走了一條叫 Pohono 的 trail。這條 trail 沿 Yosemite Valley 的 south rim 山脊， 從 Tunnel View 到 Glacier Point，或相反從 Glacier Point 到 Tunnel View。下麵先貼一張網上抄來的 trail 的 Google Map。 廣義的 Pohono trail 就是圖中從 Tunnel View 到 Glacier Point 兩點之間彩線標出來的路徑，不是從 Tunnel View 到 Glacier Point 的汽車公路。
Pohono Trail Map
Distance: 13 miles (21 km) one way
Elevation at trailhead: 4,400 feet (1,340 meters) at the Tunnel View; 7,200 feet (2,200 meters) at Glacier Point
Elevation Gain: 3,700 feet (1,130 meters) including Sentinel Dome; 3,400 feet (1,030 meters) without it

如果說 Sentinel Dome 和 Taft Point 由於靠近 Glacier Point，
需要 hike 的距離短，而有不少人去過的話，那麽 Pohono trail
的主要目的地 Stanford, Crocker, and Dewey points（樓上地圖中
從左到右標為藍色氣球的地方）就很少人去過了。在從 Taft Point
到 Dewey point 的途中，很少碰到別的 hiker。下麵一組是在
Dewey point 拍的pp。

下一個景點是 Crocker point。

最後貼兩張在 Inspiration Point 附近拍的景色，看起來跟 Tunnel View
差不多。但你仔細看 Tunnel View 中的 Half Dome 被擋住一多半，隻露出
一小臉。這裏的 Half Dome 露出的臉就大多了。原因是 Inspiration Point
比 Tunnel View 高出約一千英尺。另外 Inspiration Point 附近樹叢較多，
不象 Tunnel View 在公路邊比較開闊。
